A large and welcoming 17th century slate fireplace creates a focus for the first room; on the walls are important works by Franco Bovane, and there are Ceroli lamps and a large old English leather sofa.  The floor of hand-made terracotta is almost completely covered by an old Tabriz  rug.   The wooden mask above the fireplace is a reproduction of one in the garden of Bomarzo. There are many books to read, and music to enjoy.

The next room, with its warm atmosphere, will welcome you for breakfast, and for dinner when the weather is not warm enough to dine in the garden.   There is a fine fireplace here, a large carpet, art-work by Bovani, with Kuba and pygmy fabrics and old African masks which have been collected  by the proprietors over the years, and early 19th century church embroidery contrasting with contemporary art and sculpture.

On the first floor, a small sitting room with a fireplace in yellow marble provides an opportunity for peace and quiet, with a small library of books on art and ancient civilisation with a prevalence of texts about the Etruscans.

The estate of Pieve a Celle has five double rooms, all with private bathrooms, air conditioning, heating and tv. All rooms are non-smoking.

Fiorenza’s home-made bread and cakes, organic jam from the estate, home-made yoghurt, fresh fruit and orange juice are a feature of breakfast, served on charming table-ware between 8.30 and 10.00.
